Yokohama National University (YNU), in collaboration with the China Scholarship Council (CSC), is inviting applications from Chinese students for its CSC-YNU Joint Scholarship Program. This program offers opportunities to:
Doctoral Students: Enroll in YNU’s graduate schools starting October 2025 or April 2026.
Co-supervised Doctoral Study Students: Undertake special research at YNU between October 2025 and March 2026 as part of their doctoral studies.
This program is conducted under the Chinese Government Graduate Student Overseas Study Program, following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between CSC and YNU in July 2019.
Selection Process
Applications are screened jointly by YNU and CSC.
Short-listed candidates who pass YNU’s evaluation will be recommended to CSC for final approval.

For Doctoral Students
Full scholarships for enrollment in October 2025 or April 2026.
Exemption from application, admission, and tuition fees.
For Co-supervised Doctoral Study Students
Special research enrollment between October 2025 and March 2026.
Approximately 10 students admitted annually.
For Visiting and Postdoctoral Fellows
Visiting Fellows: Research periods of 3–12 months.
Postdoctoral Fellows: Research periods of 6–24 months.
