University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship
Overview
The University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship provides financial assistance to PhD students conducting research in bioethics or health law. This scholarship is part of the Interconnect Health Research project, which aims to improve the physical and mental health of individuals with innate variations in sex characteristics (IVSC). It is funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care (Federal) and administered by NHMRC. The scholarship is available to outstanding PhD scholars at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of AUD $30,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Apply for admission, have an offer of admission, or be currently enrolled full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.
Conduct research in bioethics or health law, focusing on improving the physical and mental health of individuals with IVSC.
Selection Process
The selection process is based on:

Academic merit
A cover letter detailing interest in the subject area
An indicative outline of the research proposal
Contact details of two academic referees
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview, and the final selection will be made by a committee consisting of research supervisors and university representatives.
