Macquarie University Graduate Research Scholarships 2025
Overview
Macquarie University offers a variety of scholarships for graduate research students, which are highly competitive and may cover tuition fees, living stipends, top-up allowances, and one-off payments. For international students, the scholarship may also include Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and visa application costs. From 2025, the standard stipend for full-time graduate researchers will be $38,500 per annum.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients may receive one or more of the following:
Tuition fee offset
Living allowance (stipend)
Top-up living allowance (additional funding on top of the base stipend)
Fixed sum or one-off payment
OSHC and/or visa application costs for international students
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Meet the minimum entry requirements for the relevant graduate research course.
Review the available courses listed for each scholarship in the university’s scholarship search tool.
Be assessed based on academic merit and research experience.
Align their proposed research topic with Macquarie University’s research priorities.
Have a strong supervisory team for their research project.
