The scholarship is awarded twice a year, with each round offering financial assistance of up to AUD $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
Be Australian citizens or permanent residents
Be deaf or hard of hearing, with priority given to those with educationally significant hearing impairment
Have been accepted into a recognized post-secondary education course at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), such as a University, TAFE, or equivalent institution (full-time or part-time)
Selection Preferences
Preference may be given to deaf or hard-of-hearing applicants who:
Are from rural or remote areas
Come from a non-English-speaking background
Are of Indigenous heritage
Are part of the signing Deaf community

All applications will be reviewed by the Broken Hill & District Hearing Resource Centre Inc. Scholarship Panel.
The winning applicant will be notified in writing.
The decision of the Scholarship Panel is final.
