Applications are now open for the University of Kent 2025 Bill Jenkins Award for Master’s students. The award is designed to support candidates who demonstrate financial hardship and are undertaking a Master’s degree at the School of Social Sciences, starting in September 2025 on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Aim and Benefits of Bill Jenkins Award
The School will award one sum of £4,000 on a competitive basis to a successful applicant commencing their Master’s level study in September 2025.
Requirements for Bill Jenkins Award Qualification
To be eligible, applicants must:
Have applied to study a Master’s program at the School of Social Sciences at the University of Kent.
Preference will be given to candidates enrolling in the MA International Social Policy program.
Study must commence in September 2025.
Be able to demonstrate financial need.
