Eligibility Criteria
Must be a passport holder and resident of Nigeria.
Must hold an offer to study any full-time Master’s program at Royal Holloway from September 2025.
Must have completed an undergraduate degree and be motivated in the chosen subject area.
Must meet Royal Holloway’s English language requirements.
Must engage with the UK as a scholar through personal and academic fulfillment.
Must be willing to attend a networking event for UK-based GREAT scholars.
Must maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
Application Process
Submit a supporting statement (max 400 words) covering:
Academic achievements and why they matter.
Reasons for choosing the Master’s degree.
Future aspirations and how the scholarship will help.
Applications exceeding the word limit will be rejected.
African Union (AU) Internship Program
Overview
The AU Internship Program aims to expose young professionals to the workings of the African Union.
Interns gain hands-on experience and contribute to the AU’s goals of unity, development, and cooperation.
The AU Headquarters is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Internship Details

Eligibility: Open to men and women from AU Member States
Eligibility Criteria
Must be actively enrolled in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program OR
Must have obtained a Bachelor’s or postgraduate (Master’s) degree in a relevant field.
Must be a national of an AU Member State.
Must be fluent in at least one AU working language (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese).
Must be no more than 32 years old at the time of selection.
Must not have a serious criminal record (excluding minor traffic offenses).
No prior work experience is required.
Required Skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to use email and internet applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in additional AU working languages is an advantage.
Internship Conditions
The AU does not provide financial support for travel, accommodation, or living expenses.
The AU will assist in obtaining entry and residence visas where possible.
Interns will not be compensated for travel.
The internship lasts 3 months, renewable once.
Interns must have individual insurance coverage for the duration of the program.
