Hyundai Motor Group Scholarships at SOAS University of London
Hyundai Motor Group is offering five scholarships for African students at SOAS University of London to support talent development and sustainable growth in Africa. These scholarships aim to empower students to find solutions to global challenges while fostering long-term collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group and African scholars.
Scholarship Benefits
– Master’s Scholarship: £27,730 (covers full tuition, with any remaining funds provided as a stipend).
– PhD Scholarship: Covers tuition fees for three years plus an additional writing-up fee in the fourth year.
– Annual Stipend: £22,780 (paid in termly instalments).
– Networking Opportunities: Scholars will participate in events and seminars during and after their studies.
Eligible Programmes
– Any full-time one-year master’s degree (starting in 2025/26).
– Any full-time research degree (starting in 2025/26).
– Applicants to the College of Development Studies, Economics and Finance, and the College of Law, Anthropology, and Politics are especially encouraged to apply.
– Not eligible: Part-time or two-year master’s programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
– Be African nationals who are ordinarily resident in Africa.
– Be international fee-paying applicants.
– Be applying for a new programme (starting in 2025/26).
– Meet academic requirements:
– Master’s applicants: Must have a first-class honours degree (or equivalent). Those with a 2:1 may apply but will not be prioritized.
– MPhil/PhD applicants: Must have a master’s degree with distinction (or equivalent). Those with a merit may apply but will not be prioritized.
– Have applied to SOAS by the scholarship deadline (an unconditional offer must be received before the selection panel meets).
– Meet SOAS’s English language requirements if applicable (pre-sessional courses are not covered by the scholarship).
