Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Nankai University Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:

Be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
Be at least 18 years old (born before September 1, 2007).
Hold a senior high school diploma with commendable academic performance.
Have proficiency in Chinese:
HSK Level 4 with a minimum score of 180.
Meet the conditions outlined in Document No. 12 (2020) issued by the Ministry of Education of China.
Selection Process
Application Review
Submitted applications will be evaluated by Nankai University.
Integrative Assessment (March – May 2025)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an assessment.
The top 20% of candidates will be recommended for the Chinese Government Scholarship or the “Study-at-NKU” President Scholarship.
Admission Decisions (Starting June 2025)
Based on academic performance, language proficiency, supporting documents, and assessment results.
Candidates can check their admission status through the online application system.
Documents Required for Application
A valid passport information page (valid beyond September 1, 2026).
Applicants in China must provide a valid visa or residence permit.
Highest degree certificate (notarized copy).
If not in Chinese or English, provide a notarized translation.
Graduating students must submit a pre-graduation certificate.
Official high school transcripts (or current academic records).
Notarized translation required if not in Chinese or English.
Personal statement (written in Chinese or English).
HSK Level 4 certificate (minimum 180 points).
One recommendation letter (in Chinese or English).

Certificates of awards (sports, arts, etc.).
Specialty certificates.
Published papers.
Undergraduate admission notices from other universities.
Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners (completed in Chinese or English).
