Overview
The Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship at Deakin University is a prestigious award given to 26 outstanding undergraduate students each year. This scholarship recognizes exceptional academic achievement and extra-curricular excellence, supporting students as they commence their undergraduate studies at Deakin University.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
100 percent tuition fee coverage (student contribution).
100 percent Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF) coverage.
$5,000 per year cash payment ($625 per credit point).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Deakin University Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:
Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or hold an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.
Be commencing an undergraduate degree at Deakin University in Trimester/Semester 1, 2025.
Be enrolled full-time, unless exceptional circumstances prevent this.
Be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP).
Demonstrate academic excellence through one of the following:
Achieved an ATAR of at least 95 or International Baccalaureate (IB) equivalent.
Dux of their high school.
Additional Considerations
Applications will also be assessed based on:
Extra-curricular activities and achievements in areas such as:
Leadership
Community service
The arts
Volunteering
Sports
Personal or financial hardship.
